Heart of Worship

Are you lonely?  Does your heart ache for something that seems unattainable?  Do you feel empty, lost in a sea that promises to drown you if you don’t find the one thing that will save you? Have you sought worldly things - love, food, knowledge, drugs, alcohol - to fill the void of darkness consuming you?

Diagnosis: You are Lonely for the presence of God.
Remedy:  Worship!

You may or may not know that when you were created by God, He created a place in you that Only He can fill.  It is a place created, where free will gives you the option to choose or not to choose God above all.  It is a place in your heart that craves connection, worship, prayer and intimacy.  When the void is not filled with Jesus, the One and Only, then, though we ARE filling it, it’s worldly things that can never satisfy and remain empty.

Life is full of traps that constrict us in a life that feels binding.  We all go through periods of life that cause us to believe we are literally drowning in the pressures and stresses of family, jobs, and parenting.

When you are filled with fear, Worship will release you from that Spirit and fill you with strength and peace.

Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. -Psalm 5:7

God never intended for us to live a pointless life, trapped in fear and stress.  He never intended for us to remain there.  Living a life without the presence of God leads to a pointless life.  WE cannot live a life without the presence of God.

Everything comes alive when worship rises within us and everything around us disappears.  There is such a freedom.  There is nothing like it.  It takes time to flow in the Spirit of worship, but it is the most freeing and healing place to be.

Being in a place of worship makes your heart sing in a way that has been crying to be filled for so many years of fear and emptiness and hurt and disappointment.  All is released when we raise our voice in Praise to a Big God whose name is Love, Peace, King, Prince, Holy, Mercy, Grace, Shepherd, Provider, Healer, Restorer, Salvation, Victory.

Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. -Psalm 89:15

Being in the presence of the Lord is the best place to be.  When we have stepped into the flow of God’s presence in prayer and worship we will crave that place more and more.  We will want to step into that river when trouble seeks to destroy us.  We will want to step in to this flow and call on the Name of the Lord to be saved.

I love being around and within His presence.  “Because He first Love us”.  He wants us to grow and want to be in His presence.  But, guess what, He wants to be with us, there in our midst, as well.  That’s how much He loves us.  He longs to be with us. When we worship God, we get more of Him.  Remember, He likes it because He gets more of us.

Just like our marriages are not just about being in the same room with our husbands, being close to him is what develops intimacy.  As our hearts of worship grow, our trust in the intimacy with ‘Yaweh’ also grows.  We learn that He can be trusted, explicitly.

Worship can unlock our hearts.  It can open the eyes of our heart to see what God is showing us, what He has for our life.  It is vital!  One day away from the presence of God is too many.  All the struggles, heartache, are all gone.  “Now the LORD is the Spirit, and Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom! ~2 Corinthians 3:17

If we stay in the presence of God within months or even days, our lives will change dramatically.  One Word from God can save our lives and destroy what the enemy determined to trap us within.

Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. -Psalm 100:2

Separate yourself unto the Lord.  Turn on your favorite worship music, or sing your favor hymn and let the LORD fill you as you stand with him in His Presence.  Let Him love on you, bringing wholeness to the aches and voids.  Let him fill you to overflowing with His peace, love, and healing.
